Sick

I'm sick of all the fighting
Sick of all the hate
Sick of all this fear and loathing
No one communicates
Sick of listening to the crap
called the American Dream
Promises of bluer skies
only fools would believe these lies
each night another poll
reactions to the death toll
Leaders speak of potential's peak
where we growing to
Another amazing show. Youth Brigrade put it down at Zoey's Cafe. The punk-rock scene is steadily moving up the scale in terms of shows. At the beginning of the year hardly any shows were making it happen. I shot 35mm on two cameras last night. My baby toy camera, the Lomography fisheye died, but I got a good roll of film :) and then I shot with the bad boy 35 mm. Picures will come as soon as I get in the darkroom.
Im going to leave you with the beautiful tallgrass found in nature. Yes, nature. There is nothing like fresh trees, rivers, mountains, and tranquility. Society gets to me sometimes. Ride your bike, use your car less often. WE need to make this world a greener place and appreciate the planet.

Yo

Paige K. is an extraordinary photographer/artist working in Ventura and Santa Barbara. I met her in my PHOTO 1 class at Ventura College. She has inspired to do many things.
One was to stencil my name on the side of my portfolio carrier. Another time was to take a semi portrait on film in the beautiful mountain range in Santa Barbara. Here she lurks and looks around for "the perfect shot". Shot at 5.6 @ 1/125 on Kodak TMAX 100

Off in the mountains

Today I shot a roll of efke IR820 film. Im really diggin' how film works in its own unique ways. As I grow as an artist, film is something I would like to keep working on. Here we have a view of the fields in Fillmore. It was shot with an eight second exposure at F/22 during the after noon with a #3 RED filter.

My type of garden

I don't know what it is, but lately I have been thinking a lot about the Earth. We as humans are not aware of the damage we are doing to the beautiful blue and green planet. I have been riding my bicycle to make pollution go down a bit and I have notice others doing the same. Who knows what 2012 will bring. I spoke to a person of Mayan descent and I asked what 2012 was going to bring. He told me, "If we as humans do not respect the Earth, we will lose everything Mother Nature has to offer"
I've been paying attention to the weather lately. It is so unpredictable. One day it is hot as an oven, the next it starts pouring, and then it gets chilli. Now the sun is out and its a beautiful day. I have not started my fall harvest and I am getting ready for the winter. These photographs were shot at the garden at Ventura College. Ever since I have been at VC, I go eat my lunch, read a book, or hang out. Anytime I am there, I feel a bit in love with the trees.

CSUN Garden w/ Sam

On a warm summer evening I left my house for an adventure in the Valley. It was hot and my friend Samuel L Jackson and I were riding bikes through the city. Although I kind of miss Northridge, I feel better at home. I am just too fond of the coastal weather. I enjoy warm weather every now and then, but I cannot live in it.
Here we were cooling off in the shade at the garden on campus.
Cool breeze was blowing as we chilled and drank some pop

Sam blowing O's! You know how we do it.....All shot on Kodak TMAX 100

Dimanche

Sundays here once more. I am currently reading up for U.S. History which does not appeal to me at this moment, so I am taking a blog break. Here is the file of negatives, I found some skateboarding shots. Here we have Moose catching some fat ass airs.
All in front of my lens, I shot many of his airs.
The composition in this last photograph somehow works for me, but there' s something odd.

It's kinda late for a Saturday

I love Saturday's. Spending time with a magnificent family is hella wild. Young kids for some reason stand out. Their first words, steps, and their intelligent way of thinking is quiet astonishing . Although my little sister and brother run around everywhere and cause chaos, I still have love for them. Here's my little brother Charlie who happens to be three years of age.
He is currently going to pre-school at a young age. His artwork is the type that puts a lil' smile on my face. Here he pretends to read a strange book

My young sister, Paola. Four years old already. She grew up so fast, I can clearly remember the day she came to this world. In my family there was three boys and suddenly, one girl was born. I wonder what she is going to be like as she grows up with 3boys(One Brother, Two Brother, Me)+Charlie= 4 boys. Well, we'll make sure we look over her.
On a beautiful fall evening I was gardening out back. My sister has a tonka tractor and was playing by my side. I snapped a shot and wondered when I develop the photograph if here eyes were going to be closed. When I developed it and looked closely at the negatives her big beautiful gaze is one I will always see. So here's a photograph of Paola aka "Pow-Pow"

Kodak TMAx100 developed at VC
Peace!

Scary Dizzle

Scary Dairy is a trip. I wonder what actually went down. It is all tagged up now and looks different from what it must of looked like several years back. The walk there was interesting. I spent my time getting up there and laughing at Carlos's fear limit which was pretty low.
I went on a hike with MR.INSPIRE, DJ Panda, & Carlos just to get to the spot. On the way there, at large falcon was chillin; on a tree.
From right to left, DJ Pandizzle, Inspire be thy name, and Carlos.
This abandoned hallway grabbed my attention and when we walked through it some gushy looking frog was hopping around
Random mattress on the floor. It is decaying and super oldThe graffiti is horrible

We found some beer bottles at this spot and broke them all. It feels good to throw bottles at a wall. You know get the "anger" out
Mateo Salas, doing it up with the T3iInspire!

thhuuurrrrsssssddddddaaaaaayyyyyyyy

This is what it comes down to. Black and white photography is my favorite. I just finished another roll and boy I am stoked to develop asap. I hope everyone the world is doing good tonight. Here is good ol' Pt. Hueneme shot at one stop below basic daylight. My whole world is in black and white right now.
This particular photograph was shot on a toy caera. My little fisheye film camera is so fun to use. the double exposure effect is truely unique technique to play around with. Here's a three minute exposure going wild in the middle of the night on a bike stroll.

PNUTZ 21st Birthday Bash

Last week the pals and everyone celebrated a 21st birthday, Omar Rodriguez's 21st. A fun and warm night drinking and having a blast. Hope you like your photographs Pnut. These are film shots that I recently developed. Kodak TMAX 100 with a flash going off. The white streak on the sides are a light light on my camera, but the effect is amazing.

Escaping the heat

After the horrendous heat the Earth received I am lucky to live near the Pacific Ocean. My friends and I ventured out down the PCH to fine a cool beach to chill at. Allan, Eric, my uncle Cesar and I went down to POint Mugu and found a funny beach. It seemed like a man made beach which wasn't as pleseant as I thought it would have been. We moved on down to Leo Carillo were we met up with Abel and Chuy.
The water at Leo Carillo was way better. Here's a picture of Eric. Allan, Ceasar and I at Leo Carillo coooling off.
Then we saw the little ocean life Leo Carillo has to offer. Tidepools, Sea Stars, Crabs, Oysters etc. all these little animals were living. Here's a photograph of everyone checking them out.

We stoped at Mugu Rock aka the end of the world and went to the moon. Cool day for a warm evening. All these were shot on Kodak TMAX100 Black and White film which I recently developed.
