Spring Semester 2012

Model: Luis C. Gutierrez

I met a childhood friend randomly in one of my photography classes. Luis Gutierrez has been cool with me since day one. We would somehow tear up jolly jumpers at our family parties, eat the best foods, and have such great laughs.
We were setting up for the studio in one of our classes that when i grabbed the cable release I asked him to pose quickly.

Three shots was all I was able to capture. I am looking forward for this semester.

Ventura Night

On a wonderful adventure out and about I felt the need to make an awesome portrait.
I met up with a buddy from photography class and asked her if she was interested. Little did I know we ended up shooting next to the 101. Paige K. enjoys being in places were she is not suppose to be. Trespassing in her thing and exploring in these secluded places tickles her mind. I am going to have to re-shoot these portraits so I can get sweet light in them.

One Confession

For those of you who personally know me know that I really enjoy to get around on my bike. Yes, it is dangerous but I am a smart cyclist. I wear a helmet, use proper lights at night, and I make sure I do not plug any earphones/headphones in my ears. I honestly hope to make a change in this Earth by not emitting carbon in to our atmosphere by riding my bicycle. Anyways, the health benefits on a bike are impressive. I can somehow manage to stay in shape and outlast some of the people around me. I recently painted my bike a different color.I grew tired of the flat black color and decided it was time for something new. I painted my bike Satin Red.
The color shocked me and I realized I am going to have a brighter bike.

I slowly worked the whole process out. Taking parts in and out can be a hassle but a good learning experience.

When I was finally done, the finished product looked great
Yes, I ride a fixed gear bike which unfortunately is "hip" or "fashionable" whatever you like to call it.......point is its a bike. If it gets me from here to there, save money on gas, watch my figure, and help out Mother Nature I am totally up for it. I do not care what people have to say and I definitely do not judge others because they ride a fixie. I smile and try to ride with other cyclist as we make a difference on this Earth and on ourselves.
Here's the finished product of my new colorful bike painting project which I loved working on.

Somehow, I am thinking of purchasing a new bike now.
